A report in today’s News of the World links Swansea with Stevenage winger George Boyd. The report claims that the Swans have ‘secretly’ scouted the 20 year old winger over the last month and are lining up a รยฃ200,000 bid.
Assistant manager Kevin Nugent saw him hit a last-minute winner for Stevenage in a victory over Dagenham and Redbridge.
Boyd has also attracted interest from both Crystal Palace and Jackett’s former club QPR. An ‘insider’ said “The Swans have already started the ball rolling. Jackett is hell bent on landing him – despite stiff competition.
“I think Kenny sees the lad as a Premiership star in the making. We are talking about a kid who could easily be worth รยฃ2 million within the next few years. Expect to see something happen on this within the next week.”
