Defender Izzy Iriekpen was signed from West Ham in 2003 by Brian Flynn after previous loan spells at Leyton Orient and Cambridge. Izzy is very quick and not too bad in the air; he is prone to the odd lapse in concentration sometimes but looks to have good potential. Izzy hasn’t played for the Swans since he was injured against Nottingham Forest in February, but he should be fit and ready for the start of the new season. He will be hoping to stay fit to try and keep his place in the team.
