Shaun has come through the youth ranks at Swansea City, still only 18 MacDonald was given some first team experience last season. He made his debut against Reading in the League Cup as a substitute, before making his first start against Torquay in the Football League Trophy 1st round. He impressed during his first season as a professional and he also played for the Welsh U-21s, MacDonald is primarily a central midfielder but can also play on the right side of midfield or in defence.
