Andy Robinson is becoming a man in demand with rumours surfacing that Stoke City are joining a race that already includes Southend. BBC have reported that Cardiff City are also interested in the goal scoring midfielder who joined three years ago from non league football. However, there is nothing concrete to suggest that this is anything more than rumours – the same with speculation over Stoke. However, it is believed that Southend may have increased their offer for Robinson less than a week after they declared that they would not be following up their initial interest. Huw Jenkins is adamant that he wants Robbo to remain at the Liberty and sign a new contract, telling the Evening Post ”We are still in negotiations with Andy,” ”We want Andy to stay and we are trying to convince to sign a new contract.” ”We have had no new bids for Andy, but we will have to wait and see if anything happens,” said Jenkins.
