Midfielder Thomas Butler signed from Hartlepool in July for £50,000; he started his career at Sunderland and has Premiership experience with the Black Cats. Butler has also played 2 games for the Republic of Ireland in 2002. He has also played for Darlington and Dunfermline in the Scottish Premiership; he is described as a pacy, attacking player and can play on either flank. Still only 25 Butler looks a good signing so hopefully he will show the fans what he can do.
