Adrian Forbes paid tribute to the Swans fans at Blackpool on Saturday who gave him a warm reception as he prepared to line up against the club for the first time since his departure at the end of last season.
Forbes was given a warm welcome by several of the travelling Jacks on the weekend and he wasn’t once given a hard time by the travelling support
”They were great to me and they were loyal for two years when I was at the club, so it wouldn’t have been right for me to celebrate in front of them. ”I was wondering before the game whether I would get cheered or booed but they sang my name almost throughout. ”I was very pleased to get that sort of reception and it was nice to say a proper goodbye to them because I never got the chance at the end of last season.
”It was very satisfying to get man of the match against my old employers. I wanted to show my old manager that maybe he shouldn’t have let me go.”
