Help A Jack – Help Morriston Hospital

Why not visit our sponsors lounge

Hi all,

My name is Ryan Orton and I’m a season ticket holder for the Swans. I post on the message board under the username Bonjour1.

As some of you know I am running the Paris marathon on April 15th to try to raise money for the Cardiac High Dependency and Intensive Care Units at Morriston Hospital.

Should anyone from Swansea and the surrounding areas suffer with heart problems, it’ll be the staff at these wards that will care for them.

My dad was treated at these wards in 1999. Sadly (for me at least!!) he passed away but the care and compassion that he and my family were shown was overwhelming.

There are 2 reasons for this project:

  1. For me to show my gratitude to the staff and to “give something back.”
  1. To enable any future patients and families (which could be any of us) to benefit from the same outstanding level of treatment.

All donations will help, no matter what amount. Unfortunately, as this is not a recognised charity, I am unable to set up a website for people to donate. Therefore, should you wish to support me there are 3 options for donations.

  1. A cheque made payable to

Cardiac ITU Endowment Fund

  1. Paypal online at ryan-orton@ntlworld.com
  1. Cash – I can meet anyone before any Swans game or any other time for that matter.

Obviously, with the last 2 methods there is an awful lot of trust involved, however I would hope that the 30+ people that I got tickets for to the LDV cup final will vouch that I can be trusted. I also have a letter from the Cardiac Unit verifying my attempt.

You can contact me at ryan-orton@ntlworld.com or by phone on 07970 036581 if you wish to discuss anything.

Thank you in advance for any support or donations. It really is appreciated.

Ryan
