Striker Darryl Duffy has signed on loan till the end of the season; he has the accolade of becoming Roberto Martinez’s first signing as Swansea manager. The Glasgow born forward started his career at Glasgow Rangers where he came up from the youth ranks – he only made three substitute appearances with the Gers – including one in the Champions League against Panathanaikos.

He made some loan appearances at Scottish clubs Brechin & Montrose but his career took off at Falkirk in Scottish Division One; where he scored 27 goals in the 2004-05 season, before moving to Hull in 2006. He has failed to make an impact with the Tigers – only starting 9 league games (scoring 3 league goals)

He recently went on loan to League Two Hartlepool this season, where he scored 5 goals in 10 games. He’s still only 22 and looks a good prospect, he’s tall and pacy and hopefully he will score the goals needed to fire the Swans into the Play Offs.
