Saturday’s referee is Michael Jones from Chester, he became a Football League referee in 1997, and his biggest moment is refereeing the 2004 LDV Vans Trophy Final at the Millennium Stadium.

He has been in charge of 11 previous Swans games – we’ve only lost three of those, he will take charge of his second Swans game of the season – his last being the home defeat to Huddersfield.

He looks a very card happy referee – an average of 3.7 per game and he’s already sent off 10 players this season (8 of the 10 were for the away team), not a good omen with our disciplinary record away from home this season!
