Why not visit our sponsors lounge Both Llanelli and Port Talbot Town have announced friendlies against the Swans although nothing as yet has been confirmed by Swansea City themselves. Llanelli’s official site reads Swansea City have agreed to bring their first team to play the Reds at Stebonheath Park in a pre season friendly on Thursday 19th July 2007. Kick Off will be at 7.30pm. Admission Prices will be £7 Adults £3 Concessions. The game was arranged after discussions between Peter Nicholas and Swans Manager, Roberto Martinez. Whist the Port Talbot web site says Port Talbot Town will take on Swansea City at The RE/MAX Stadium on Wednesday, 25th July in a pre-season friendly. The match will also have a special meaning as it will mark the official opening of the new ‘Gerald McCreesh Stand’. Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has already been busy in the transfer market during the summer and will bring his full first team squad to Port Talbot for the match. Another bumper crowd is expected for the match and recent games between the two clubs have seen huge attendances at the ground. The most memorable game between the two sides came in a competitive match last January however when Port Talbot Town defeated Swansea 2-1 in the quarter final of the FAW Premier Cup in front of over 2,500 people at The RE/MAX Stadium. Kick off time and admission prices for the match are yet to be confirmed. |
