It’s been several weeks since the Swans concluded the financial aspect of the deal and Scotland agreed to sign on the dotted line but today Roberto, Kevin Reeves and Alun Cowie will join Scotland and his agent at the hearing with Roberto in positive mood that it is a mere formality.

"We are quite confident we will get the result we are looking for given that Jason has been playing in the UK for the last four years and he has recently played at the World Cup," Martinez told the Evening Post. "He is a high-profile international player and he ticks all the boxes. "But you cannot be certain how these things are going to go and until we see him signing a contract we cannot be sure he will be a Swansea player. "It would be a huge knock if things weren’t to go our way as we already consider Jason to be part of our squad.

"We are quite positive about what’s going to happen," Martinez added. "Now we just have to hope it is a good day for Swansea City."

Meanwhile, rumours from Holland have suggested that Dorus De Vries will accept the offer put to him from Swansea City and reject any interest from Championship clubs who are alleged to include Cardiff City.

De Vries is reported to be back in Wales today to tie up the formalities of his contract and could be a Swansea player before the weekend.
