Trundle On Verge Of Leaving?

The Evening Post tonight suggests that the speculation is about to end and Lee Trundle will be making the short switch to Ashton Gate to join Bristol City and their Championship challenge.

The words have become more ominous as the days have gone on and it now appears that it is potentially too late with neither side seemingly denying that the move is on the verge of happening.

A Swans ‘source’ told the Evening Post "We don’t want to lose Lee Trundle, because any sum of money is not going to cover the loss of a player like him. "But, and it’s a big but, what matters is what the player thinks. The club is financially stable and we have shown in recent years that we do not want to sell our best players. "The only ones we might want to lose are those who are outside Roberto’s first-team plans. "Obviously, Lee doesn’t come into that category, but any decision will come down to what the player wants. "When you look at the service Lee has given us, we have to recognise his wishes."

Whilst Chairman Huw Jenkins added "While I can’t give any indication either way about what’s happening, I would say the timing of all this could not have been any worse. "It needs to be settled one way or another."

And reading between the lines it most definitely is going to be but very possibly not the way the majority of Swans fans would want
