Midfielder Leon Britton was signed by Brian Flynn on loan from West Ham in 2002; he played a major part in helping the Swans survive relegation from the Third Division in 2003, Leon also won the Player of the Year award for that season.

He then signed permanently the following season and has been almost ever present since, Britton is a fans favourite and has clocked up over 200 appearances, he always gives 100%, he is a very skilful player and is tricky to play against – his shooting and crossing does let him down at times, Leon is also due to sign a new three year deal soon according to the club.
