Two In At The Liberty

Alan Curtis has returned to the Liberty Stadium to take up a coaching role, the former Swans supremo has been given the responsibility of developing players in the gap from Youth and Senior Football. This job will include

  • Work on Technical, Physical, Tactical and Fitness aspects of players who are moving on from youth football

  • Generally behind the scenes with the club

Also former Real Sociedad and Alaves ‘keeper Ináka Bergára also joins the Swans, filling the void left by Port Talbot manager Tony Pennock. Pennock worked as Town manager while coaching Dorus De Vries and many other former Swansea goalies. Ináka Bergára

  • Spent the Last four years at Athletico Madrid

  • Played for Real Sociedad and Alaves

Roberto Martinez “I am really pleased as Alan will do a great job and Iñaki has a great pedigree and knowledge of the game.

“Alan’s role is a gap in British football – we hope this will play a huge part in helping our young players progress in their careers.

“Iñaki will work with Dorus and our young keepers and I am confident he will do a great job.”
