Career Stats
Striker Warren Feeney signed on a 4 month loan from rivals Cardiff City; Feeney has found it difficult to start matches for the Bluebirds after the signings of Robbie Fowler, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Steve MacLean. He started his career as a Trainee at Leeds, but he joined Bournemouth in 2001 after a successful loan spell there, before Luton paid £175,000 for him in 2005, though Feeney only scored 11 goals in 83 matches for The Hatters. Cardiff City paid £75,000 for Warren at the turn of the year, but has failed to make an impact at Ninian Park so far. Feeney followed in his Grandfather’s and father’s footsteps by playing International football for Northern Ireland where he has scored 2 goals (against Azerbaijan & Portugal) in 19 appearances. His Grandfather – Jim Feeney – also played for the Swans in the 1940’s Hopefully Feeney’s loan spell with be a successful one and will help ease the pressure on Jason Scotland & Darryl Duffy – hopefully the fans will give him good support when he plays.
