Elland Road heads for 30,000

Swansea City have sold 2408 tickets for their weekend clash with Leeds United. The official figure, confirmed when tickets went off sale tonight, will make for a crowd heading towards 30,000 after Leeds themselves announced their ticket sales had exceeded 25,000 this morning.

The match is being billed in some quarters as a promotion six pointer as Leeds look to continue a remarkable start to the season that has seen them win their first six games to completely wipe out the 15 point penalty that they had and move into the ‘plus’ column.

Swansea’s away support follows on from away supports in excess of 1000 at all three away league games to date and shows the continued interest that there is in this season which has stuttered to date but still sees the Swans currently in fourth place.

Swansea fans are reminded that they should sit in the seats which have been allocated on their tickets and all away vehicles should head for Car Park A at Elland Road which has been allocated for Swans fans. The police will be very strict on alcohol.

It promises to be a great day out.
