Darren Way missed a Swans reserve encounter with Cardiff City yesterday with a thigh strain.
Way had just returned from his lengthy injury lay offs before pulling the muscle which forced him to miss the friendly 1-1 draw with Cardiff – Kevin Amankwaah netting the goal for the Swans.
The news of a Way injury will raise a few eyebrows amongst the Swansea support, several sections of which have predicted that he will never kick a ball for Swansea again.
Way’s time at Swansea (almost two years) has been blighted by injuries and he has made just seven starts since making the move from Yeovil on 20th January 2006.
The reserves next fixture is against Forest Green on October 17
