Derby County have said that Swans target Darren Moore will not be leaving Pride Park as they look to haul themselves off the foot of the Premiership table.
Roberto has been a long term admirer of the Derby defender and still harbours hope that he may be able to persuade him to join Swansea on loan but those hopes appear to be diminishing with the comments from Rams boss Billy Davies.
Davies was reacting to newspaper speculation that was linking his player with a move to Championship side Leicester City when he told Derby’s official web-site “I can tell you Darren Moore won’t be going anywhere, but I’m not surprised about the speculation.
“As far as I’m concerned he’s a very important player for us and I’m delighted to welcome him back after injury.
“Mooro with his experience is very influential and then we have the enigma, Giles Barnes, who we all know can be very crucial to our plans.”
Roberto is still searching for the addition he wants to his defensive line and further rumours have suggested that Lewis Nyatanga may become an option to strengthen that side of his team.
