Hartlepool will arrive at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday looking to topple the division’s new leaders after the Swans went top with the 4-1 destruction of Bournemouth on Sunday.
Hartlepool returned themselves to winning ways themselves over the weekend with a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers after a poor run of league form that saw them win only once in their preceding six league games. Couple that with progression in the JPT and they will be in confident mood when they arrive in South Wales on Saturday.
And Danny Wilson, ‘pool manager, is looking forward to the challenge that the table topping Swans will pose “It was important to get the three points against Bristol Rovers,” Wilson told the Sunderland Echo
“You don’t want to be going away from home on the back of a defeat regardless of who you are playing, it is difficult enough at this level. “But that win has kept the confidence going. “We can go there and not have as much pressure on us to get a result, the onus is one the home side. They are playing well but hopefully we can go there and do a good job.”
Hartlepool currently sit just outside the play-off zone in League One although with just four points separating the division’s top ten clubs much could change after another round of fixtures this weekend.
