The striker, one of last summer's acquisitions has finally completed a move across the Severn Bridge to take up Paul Trollope's League One challenge next season.
And the move was not cheap for the Swans as they lost a six figure sum on the player they only signed last summer.
Duffy's spell at Swansea was short and pretty ineffective as just one league goal – against Carlisle at the Liberty – followed and he struggled towards the end of the season to get a place even on the bench.
Brief cameo appearances did come at the end of the season but it was pretty inevitable that it would be all over this summer and finally terms have been agreed with Bristol Rovers.
Speaking on completion of the move, Duffy said "It's taken a while for the contract details to be sorted, but now I can sign and carry on with my career.
"I think coming here is something I had to do to stand a chance of playing first team football on a regular basis. Hopefully, if I do well enough, I can do that here.
"I was at Swansea for 14 months, so I guess you could say that it was short and sweet.
"The biggest factor in my move was that I just wanted to play football. I'm not interested in sitting in the stands, and with the size of the squad at Swansea, there were as many as 12 or 13 players sitting up in the stand on a matchday.
"Hopefully I can establish myself here and do well."
