"I think we controlled the whole 90 minutes, we created enough chances and probably reduced a physical Sheffield Wednesday side to about two attempts on target during the second-half but we got punished.

"Those things happen in football; I'm looking at our performance and I'm and pleased and very happy. We certainly need to keep improving and if you're going to drop two points, as I feel we did today, that's what we have to do.

"If you look at the way the players performed they deserved the three points, but even after they scored the players showed character and we created three really open chances and that's pleasing.

"There are certain areas we need to improve but overall with the amount of chances we created we should have won the game.

"Overall the pattern of play, the possession we had and the way we controlled the game was very pleasing.

"When you feel disappointed after only getting a point against Sheffield Wednesday it shows how far we have come as a football club and that in itself is a positive.

"But it's a disappointment to finish with that feeling and the players didn't deserve that."

"Swansea showed what a good side they are, they have a fantastic stadium, there is a great atmosphere here and they are taking their momentum forward from last season.

"They gave us a tough time, particularly in the first half when a lot of our play was very negative in the way we passed the ball. But we held firm and at half time I thought we were quite fortunate that it was only 1-0.

"In the second half we had to dig in and they started making mistakes but overall I am delighted that we are taking a point home. I would have settled for that before the game anyway and it shows that when we are not playing well we can dig in and get a result.

"We have to defend better but Swansea are a very good side and there won't be many teams that come here and take points off them.

"We matched up with the formation they had but they overran us in midfield, they moved the ball well and they have confident players. We have had to dig in deep and we should not be expected to come here and turnover Swansea when they have invested heavily, they will be a good team in this division."
