The game – the 3rd round of the Carling Cup – will be the first time the two sides have met for 6 years – the last being at Ninian Park in the final of the FAW Premier Cup.
Roberto Martinez: ''It's important to realise it's a football game,'' he said. ''It's a huge occasion but it shouldn't go any further than football and the respect should be there.
''For many youngsters it will be the first time they've seen the clubs play an official game and we should make it an example for the future.''
Dave Jones: ''It will be a great game as long as everybody behaves themselves.''
David Morgan: "Everything is being done behind the scenes to make sure nothing goes wrong," he said.
"Families should not be worried about this fixture. People need to realise that things will be very well planned."
Unnamed Cardiff Fan (speaking to the Evening Post): "I am nervous about the game, it has been nearly a decade since we faced each other in a meaningful fixture.
"I'm hoping the minority won't spoil it for the majority. Both Cardiff and Swansea have made big strides to become family clubs.
"I'm dreading what might happen off the pitch."
