Rush was in Swansea yesterday signing copies of his autobiography which tells the story of his time at Anfield where he rightly earned the tag of legend.
And whilst he was back in his homeland he took the time to make reference to the Swans excellent start to the Championship season that has seen the club move into 7th place in the Championship having earned 7 points from a possible 12.
That in itself has led people to praise the performances of the team and believe that maybe they could do better than expected this season.
And Rush is another to join the Swansea fan club when he said "They play good football, have a good manager and have a good chance in the Championship."
He also told the Evening Post that the club should be incredibly proud of the Liberty Stadium that has certainly proved to be a catalyst to taking the Swans to a totally new level in terms of being able to compete.
