For the second time this season in London the Swans were undone by two soft goals in a 2-0 defeat following on from the opening day defeat at Charlton.
A long range free kick went in with not so much as a challenge for the ball whilst a long range low shot beat Dorus De Vries to double Palace's lead in the second half.
And the disappointment was there to see on the face of the Swans players as they trooped off at the end of the game and they must now bounce back on Tuesday against Derby at the Liberty.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, defender Marcos Painter said "Palace played to their strengths, they hit it to the big boys up front and we failed to deal with it
"We have to learn to handle that better as we will be coming up against a lot of teams that play direct like Palace.
"The soft goals were disappointing, but we're a young side who will take the positives. There are a lot of games to come, we want to bounce back."
Painter was replaced during the second half by new signing Fedo Bessone.
