Bookings Come With Ferrie’s Style Of Play

Bodde will sit out Saturday’s visit of Wolves to the Liberty Stadium after picking up his fifth booking of the season at Reading last Saturday.

Bodde picked up bookings against Charlton, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Burnley to go with his booking against Reading and that means an automatic one match ban after the 5 have been accumulated in a 9 game period.

Swansea planned to contest one of the bookings with Roberto saying yesterday โ€œWe are contesting one of then

โ€œThere was some paperwork issue, a problem I would say, and we are not sure if it is four or five at the moment.

โ€œWe are trying to find out what is really in the records.

โ€œWe are hoping it is four and Ferrie will be able to play against Wolves.โ€

However, that route of optimism has now closed and Roberto says that suspensions are part of the way that Ferrie plays the game as he told today’s Western Mail โ€œIt comes with the role he has to play. We had to change his positional sense a little bit

โ€œIn any period where you are having to adapt your position, you are going to give set-pieces away and you are going to get booked. It is something which happens.

โ€œI donโ€™t see it as a pattern of his play. I am delighted with Ferrieโ€™s response. It has been very focused.โ€

Bodde picked up 5 yellow cards and 2 red cards last season before the end of the year but only one yellow following his suspension earned from his red card against Leeds.
