Pratley Expects To Win Every Game

Pratley returned to the side on Saturday to help the team secure an impressive 3-1 win over Wolves at the Liberty Stadium.

Missing for the previous few games through injury he replaced the suspended Ferrie Bodde and made an immediate impact with his usual game from midfield and probably giving Roberto a headache in the process for the next game in two weeks.

And, speaking after the game, he told the Evening Post that the result meant the team were buzzing going into the international break.

“We go into every game expecting to win,” said Pratley.

“It was disappointing against Reading. I wasn’t at the game, but the boys were disappointed with the goals we conceded.

“At Preston we showed the character to bounce straight back and today we carried it on.

“We’re a confident bunch of boys and we fancy we can play football with the best of them in the league and today I think we showed that. We knew Wolves would come here trying to win, so it was a more open game than what we’ve had recently and that suited us fine.

“Obviously they were top of the league, so to win 3-1 the boys are buzzing going into the international break.

“In every position I think we’ve got people to come in, Jason missed out on Tuesday, but he’s a big player for us, he’s come in and got two goals and played well.

“We’ve got competition all over the pitch and it keeps us on our toes.

“We’re happy, we’re eighth at the moment, but it’s still early doors and it’s a battle in this league. You lose two on the bounce and you’re in the bottom three and if you win two on the bounce you’re in the top six.”
