The Swans confirmed early in the day that Allen was heading to North Wales to join Dean Saunders at Wrexham on a one month loan deal.
Less than twelve hours later he was on the scoresheet in a man of the match performance against York – helping Wrexham to a 3-1 victory that lifted them to 8th in the table.
Speaking on his departure, Allen told the Swans official site “I’m looking forward to it
“It will be good to get some more game time under my belt.
“I obviously know the manager (Dean Saunders) from the Welsh set up. He’s got the same philosophy as the Gaffer (Roberto Martinez) in that he wants to play football the right way.
“He’s got a good reputation in the game and has the utmost respect from the senior boys in the Welsh squad. He’s also got a wealth of experience which hopefully I can tap into during my time at the Racecourse.”
Allen will now join up with the Wales Under 21 squad for the 1st leg of their play off with England on Friday
