Swansea City can count themselves unfortunate to come away with nothing from the trip after a goal in each half from Sylvan Ebanks-Blake gave the home side a victory that they didn’t really deserve.
Sandwiched in between the double was a second strike in successive games from Darren Pratley and the Swans pressed for an equaliser that never came.
After the game, Roberto told BBC Sport “It’s disappointing as the performance, effort and determination of the players deserved more.
“We’re a young dressing room and this is one of the toughest environments in Championship football – this is another step forward, we can take the positives.
“We’ve been ourselves, got the majority of the ball and created enough chances to win, but we’ve given away two soft goals. That’s where we are, we’ll move on to the next challenge.
“The character in the dressing room is the reason behind our success for the last 22 months and at half time the boys were hurt co concede so close.ย Sometimes when it is two minutes before half time you have to be a little more composed and make sure you stay solid.
“The second goal was a big goal but we never changed our attitude.ย We hit the crossbar and sometimes that goes in.ย When you come to places like this you need a little luck.
“Given the conditions the way we played was another step forward for us.
“I have no problem with the first goal being allowed butg every 50/50 decision seemed to go to the home side which is disappointing but I do think these balance out during the season.”
