“You don’t want to play against Trunds because he’s such a talented footballer that he’ll make life difficult against any opposition,” Martinez told BBC Sport.
“Lee Trundle is always going to be in everyone’s memories as someone that has had a very important past at the football club and that will never be forgotten.
“We need to be very wary and be careful about his strengths and his quality because it’s an important game for our football club.
“I’m sure when Trunds will retire he will be a legend for Swansea City and every Swansea City supporter, but on Saturday he’s the enemy and in that respect we need to be very careful.
“I know Trunds extremely well, I know the way he feels about the football club and it wouldn’t surprise me.
“On the other side I know he’s a great professional and he wants to score goals for his football club.
“So he’s not going to turn down the opportunity to score, put it that way, if he’s got a good chance on Saturday.”
