Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has revelled that he is not surprised at Swansea City’s good start to the season as he prepares to face Roberto Martinez’s side tomorrow afternoon.

Blackwell will be hoping that his Blades side will be able to continue their good run of form on the road but has insisted that his squad may have to scrap a result out of the game as he told the Sheffield Star, he said “Their manager Roberto Martinez has got them playing some very good football and they need to be respected. I know they got promoted and they were a bit of an unknown quantity but I saw them a few times and am not surprised they are doing so well this season. Forest were second from bottom and we knew we would have to scrap and we know we will have to do the same against Swansea.”

Facing a dogged Swansea outfit at home may seem a daunting prospect for the Yorkshire club but the former Luton Town manager believes that the Swans will hound his side from the off as he now adds, “We have a five to six-hour coach trip down to South Wales and at the end of it we know Swansea will be in our face from the start at the Liberty Stadium which can lift them.”
