That is certainly the view of Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez who believes that his new capture is destined to show just what he can do on the pitch rather than what he has done off it.
Dyer signed last week from Southampton but was unable to make his debut last weekend due to the postponement of the FA Cup tie at Histon.
However, he will get his chance in tomorrow’s televised game at Burnley and that is a prospect that excites Roberto who told the Evening Post “We are all excited about what Nathan is going to bring us because he can add a different dimension
“He has that extra pace which creates unpredictability in your play and is also exciting to watch.
“There are many factors which make Nathan a special player.
“He has been frustrated for long periods recently and wants to make up for lost time — he is very hungry.
“And then there is his quality. As well as that raw pace which is so important in the modern game, he has great ability with both feet and a great eye for goal.
“He is someone who is going to catch the eye straightaway and I think he will be a big hit with our supporters.
“The lads are desperate to get back into action after the postponement last weekend
“And I am looking forward to our next nine league games because they will show us what our potential dream can be this season.”
