“I Love It Here” Says Dyer

His Swansea City home debut could not have gone any better.ย  A near man of the match performance – Joe Allen was voted it at the stadium although Dyer was voted by the readers of Planet Swans – in a 2-0 win over a team believed by many to be the best in the division.

It all seemed a world away from the financial crisis at St. Marys and the loan spell at Sheffield United.

Already there are calls to make the Dyer signing a permanent one and clearly it is something that Dyer will be prepared to consider

“I’m just happy with the team performance. I said this was a quality side and we showed it today. We played really well, there was a togetherness and we got the goals we deserved,” he told the Evening Post.

“The philosophy is to keep the ball, keep possession and get it out to the wingers so you can isolate the defenders one on one. The wingers can get at them, get crosses in and it seemed to work today.

“I really like it here, everyone’s been so friendly to me since I’ve come here. The first day or two I was here the boys really welcomed me and it’s been really nice. I feel good and I feel part of the team.

“This squad’s phenomenal. They’ve got no individuals, they’re a complete team. They play for each other, they work together and there’s just a great spirit in the dressing room. I love it.

“This is Swansea’s first year in the Championship and they’re just going from strength to strength

“I said from the moment I came here this is a promotion-winning team. We’ve got a Premiership team and a Premiership manager and as long as we stay focused, play together and keep working hard I think we can make it.”
