The Swans surrendered a three month unbeaten run at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night but have the chance to put that right with back to back home league games against Doncaster and Charlton.
Sandwiched in between the two is a small matter of a 5th Round FA Cup replay but Britton knows that the importance of bouncing back in the league is very high on the priority list at the moment as they look to continue their play off drive.
Speaking to the Western Mail, Britton said โWeโve attracted publicity with the FA Cup run, and thatโs obviously a good thing
โBut thereโs no added pressure. We put the pressure on ourselves because weโre the ones whoโve set our own high standards.
โSince the gaffer has come in, weโve played this passing game which is very easy on the eye and makes us difficult to beat.
โAnd we want to carry on playing that way because we feel weโre good enough to do it.
โWeโre professional footballers, so thereโs no way any of us wanted the run to come to an end,โ said 26-year-old Britton.
โThereโs certainly no sense of relief โ we wanted to carry it on until the end of the season.
โNow the next challenge is to begin another run, starting on Saturday.
โWeโre disappointed with the performance against Watford
โAll round, we were pretty sloppy.
โNormally we play at a high tempo, get the ball down quick and play it, but we didnโt do that.
โAnd itโs hard to put a finger on why that happened.
โWe just want to put it down to a bad day at the office.
โWe need to get back to the standards which set us on this run in the first place โ and push ourselves back up the table.
โFortunately, the next game comes around very quickly, which is good.
โSo itโs a chance to pick ourselves up, wipe the slate clean and get started again.
โThe last time we played Doncaster, they were on a bit of a bad run.
โBut it is fair to say that theyโre in a very different position now.
โBoth teams know each other well after both coming up from League One last year and itโll be tough.
โWe need to wipe the Watford game from our memory โ and if we can start another unbeaten run, that would do us very nicely.
โIf we could go the final 14 games unbeaten โ though preferably not drawing eight on the bounce again โ Iโd have thought weโd be in the play-offs by the end of the season.โ
