BBC Sport reported yesterday evening that Stephen Dobbie was poised to sign a pre-contract agreement with the Swans.
The report suggested that QPR, Norwich and Ipswich had all been interested but Swansea was his preferred desstination of choice for next season with Queen of the South manager Gordon Chisholm telling BBC Scotland "Stephen has been offered the best contract we could possibly offer anyone as we are desperate to keep him
"There's a lot of competition from down south and the Premier League, but don't underestimate how much we want him."
Dobbie himself added "Hopefully, whatever's going to happen will be next week or the week after
"We're trying to get to third place and we'll see what happens after that.
"I've had a few offers from up here and down south. I just have to sit down with my agent and see what's happening."
Meanwhile today's Sunday Mail is reporting that former Hearts man Saulius Mikoliunas is in Swansea and should sign tomorrow after watching the Swans game against Blackpool at the Liberty today.
Mikoliunas was freed by the Jambos last week after a dispute over wages and has several offers to consider.
The paper reports that the Lithuanian is in Swansea for talks with Roberto having been impressed with the plans that the club have to reach the Premiership in the near future.
