1981-1982 was a season where Swansea City stood proud on several occasions at the top of the English tables. It was a season where they never left the top six and a season where Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal all came to South Wales. And all left beaten sides.

John Toshack had taken the club on a magical journey which had started just over three years earlier in the fourth division and this was the moment that every Swans fan had dreamed of. They were in the top flight and competing with the very best.

One Magical Season will be one of the most comprehensive round ups of that season to date. Taking every match in isolation we will start with the magical destruction of Leeds at the Vetch right through the 42 games until we reach the end and the eventual 6th place finish – our lowest placing of that season.

We will look back on the games with a series of newspaper cuttings from each match. Reactions and reports from the pundits that mattered at the time together with views on the games themselves. And, as fans, you will have the chance via our forum and the comments section to share your memories of the games as we work through and review them so keep tuning back for more as we take you on a special journey this summer through "One Magical Season"

Starting Monday, only on Planet Swans…
