Dobbie has signed a three year deal to move to the Liberty Stadium after attracting the intrerest from ten clubs – all of whom he pushed aside to join up with the Swans.

Sheffield United, Ipswich, QPR and Norwich were just some of the clubs that were also after the hitman but he revealed to the News of the World that it was some DVDs that Roberto gave him that persuaded him to make the move to South Wales.

He said "Roberto Martinez gave me some DVDs of Swansea games to watch at home

"I was bowled over by the way his side played.  It was just attack, attack, attack.   That's the way I want to play football.

"For a striker like me Swansea's approach is absolutely brilliant.  I'm sure their style will suit me.   There were quite a few clubs looking at me and the DVDs helped me make up my mind.  I also watched the 2-2 draw at Cardiff live on the box.

"That was a great advert for the South Wales derby.  I was watching that game thinking 'I'd love to play in that'

"When I was at Rangers I gew up with Chris Burke and Ross McCormack who are now with Cardiff.

"I know them both really well and it would be nice to get one over on them next season.

"I received plaudits this season because I scored 23 goals for Queen of the South.  I'll have better players around me at Swansea so I'm hoping to score more goals next seaeon.

"I played with Jason Scotland at St Johnstone.  We did OK together and I reckon we can strike up a good partnership at Swansea.  Jason has done brilliantly at Swansea and I'd love to follow in his steps."
