According to the Bolton News, Megson has moved on to other transfer targets, as he attempts to build his side for the forthcoming Premier League season.

The 50 year old has long been an admirer of former Den Haag man Bodde, and looked detemined to land his man this summer.

Despite Huw Jenkins' insistance that there hasn't been an improved offer put on the table for the Dutchman, the BN understands that the Swans rejected a £3.5m offer towards the latter part of last week.

Prior to his season ending injury, Bodde enjoyed the best form of his career, as he slammed in 7 goals in 17 appearances from central midfield, which drew the attention of many Premier League clubs.

While it looks like he won't be heading to one Manchester based club, he could still be heading to another. Undoubtedly a certain Spaniard will be watching on with interest in the coming weeks…
