Sousa has revealed that the club have agreed fees for many players – including Ipswich’s Pablo Counago – but so far, wage demands have been the stumbling point when it comes down to agreeing terms.
The Mirror claims that Webber – who came down for talks last week – has turned us down with ‘Boro offering a higher wage for the former Sheffield United striker.
He is expected to put pen to paper on a three year deal on Friday, so it looks like the search will continue for Sousa.
