What they do know though is that he will definitely miss the weekend clash with Watford after complaining of pains in his rib area.
Speaking to the official site, Swans physio Cerian Parham said "Stephen does have a rib injury and will definitely miss out against Watford on Saturday
"It isn't a rib fracture but he has complained of pains in that area.
"He has been given pain relieving medication but an investigation is ongoing to discover the full extent of the injury."
The loss of Dobbie adds to an ever growing injury list that already included the likes of Darren Pratley and Joe Allen althouhg Parham confirmed that long term absentee Ferrie Bodde is no longer part of that category
"He is no longer considered an injured player
"But it is now up to the manager to decide what Ferrie does in training and it's a case of him building up his strength and fitness."
