Allen was forced off with a hamstring problem in the 0-0 draw at home to Bristol City but after sitting out Saturday’s stalemate at Barnsley, the Welshman is set to return this weekend.
“The Bristol City game took a lot out of Joe and he was a little bit sore,” a Swans spokesman said.
“As a precaution it was felt that rather than travelling all the way to Barnsley, Joe would be better off staying behind to rest and to undergo some more treatment.”
