The Spaniard’s only appearance under Paulo Sousa came in the 3-0 win over Brighton in the Carling Cup – coming on as a substitute to setup Stephen Dobbie for his 2nd goal of the evening.
Bauza was mostly used as a substitute under Roberto Martinez last season, scoring twice in 21 league and cup appearances.
“I am now in the final phase of my rehabilitation,” said Bauza, who flew to Barcelona for his treatment.
“The first phase of work on the knee was very important because it looked at whether the treatment was working and the knee was getting better.
“It was four weeks of hotel, hospital, hotel, hospital. It was very boring, but I’m seeing the results and I’m happy that I did that.
“Now it is time to recover the power in the muscle and then I want to get back onto the pitch as soon as possible with my team-mates and help Swansea to do great things this season.
“I want to give more to Swansea than I have given in the past two years.
“I play for the team, so I’m not too bothered where the gaffer wants to put me.
“If he wants me up front I will try to score goals, but if he wants me working in midfield then I’ll do it.
“I showed something to the gaffer in pre-season and I spoke to him several times, so I know what is expected of me when I return.”
