The former Manchester United midfielder saw the Tractor Boys fall behind early on thanks to Craig Beattie’s first Swansea goal, before summer target Pablo Counago slid home for the equaliser.

“We’re making progress and this gives us something to build on. It’s certainly not doom and gloom,” Keane told the BBC.

“We had good chances in the second half and should have won the game. It wasn’t ideal to concede another early goal.”
