Dyer: We Will Learn Lessons From Newcastle

The Swansea City wide man played in the Swans 3-0 defeat where they were beaten by three goals in the first thirty minutes at St James’ Park.

It seemed like the Swans were almost caught by the occasion as they allowed Newcastle three free chances to score – all of which they took with grateful receipt.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the game though, Dyer says they will learn lessons from the defeat.

“Players will learn a lot, the way that we conduct ourselves in future games if we stick together,” Dyer said.

“We’ve had a good defensive record and conceding three goals is going to put a downer for a few days,” Dyer said.

“We got punished in the first 20 minutes when we lost concentration.

“We had chances throughout the game and I thought we should have taken some, me personally as well, but it just didn’t fall for us at the end of the day.

“We did show a bit too much respect at the start and I believe that in the second half we dominated and we should… have scored.

“But they’re a good side, you know, you’ve got internationals in the side, so you can’t really be too down on yourself.

“But we’ll just pick ourselves back up and make sure that whoever we play next week, we’re going to take them to town.”
