Orlandi Setting Sights On Toon Revenge

Swansea City were beaten 3-0 at Newcastle on Saturday despite the lion’s share of posession and more shots on goal than their hosts.

Three first half headers meant there was no way back for the Swans despite an encouraging second half performance where they very much took the game to the league leaders.

And in very much the same way as Reading last season and Leeds the season before, the Swans are looking to put a poor start behind them in the return fixture at the Liberty.

โ€œI will look forward to playing them at the Liberty because we will start better and it will be different,โ€ Orlandi told the Western Mail.

โ€œThey may be getting paid 20 times more than us but we played better than them.

โ€œItโ€™s disappointing because we really wanted to play good football here and we didnโ€™t do ourselves justice in the first half-an-hour. Itโ€™s really frustrating.

โ€œThey scored early and we werenโ€™t ready for it. But, as soon as we started playing our game, we outplayed them.

โ€œWe werenโ€™t thinking about getting hammered or anything like that either. We just thought if we could get one goal we would get back into it. That is always our mentality here.

โ€œWe are very disappointed because we didnโ€™t show our true standards in that first 30 minutes.

โ€œMaybe the environment and the stadium got to us.โ€
