Beattie has missed the last two games through injury but was set to return to full training today ahead of Saturday’s top six clash against Nottingham Forest.
The Scot has scored three times, all away from home, for Swansea so far this season and looks to be the best option for a lone frontman role in Paulo Sousa’s team.
In his absence, Gorka Pintado and Besian Idrizaj have deputised but have struggled in the lone role, so the return of record signing Beattie will be a big boost to Sousa.
In other injury news, Mark Gower is again expected to miss out this weekend, so too is captain Garry Monk, who has been missing from the first team since the 2-0 win at Scunthorpe back in October.
