Kuqi Searching For Home Comforts

The Swansea City striker already seems well on the way to being a cult hero in Swansea.ย ย  The only goals of the game in victories at Derby and Crystal Palace have ensured that the flying finn has made a flying start to his Swansea career even if he is still living out of his suitcase.

And that is something that he wants to correct sooner rather than later, telling the Western Mail โ€œAt the moment I am still in a hotel here, Iโ€™m trying to organise things so I can move out though because, with my wife being heavily pregnant, you want a home of your own.

โ€œEverything in just the one room is not ideal. Loads of people will think itโ€™s nice to live in a hotel, but most of the players will agree itโ€™s a nightmare.

โ€œWhen you are going away from home a lot anyway, staying in hotels, you want to come back to your own house.

โ€œI have to go back to the hotel and I must admit Iโ€™ve had enough of that in my career.

โ€œAt Palace, I had four months in a hotel, two months in one in Germany and now I am back in a hotel. Itโ€™s a frustrating time, but itโ€™s all you can do when you move countries.

โ€œHopefully I can organise myself so that I can then focus 100 per cent on my game.

โ€œI have only been here four weeks, but it feels like almost four years.

โ€œItโ€™s a really nice atmosphere and, when you are in a good group like this, it lets you put other things to one side.

โ€œIโ€™ve got problems off the pitch, but Iโ€™m really enjoying myย footballย again.

โ€œI make sure the other issues donโ€™t affect my performances. I know I have a job to do here, which is to help Swansea get promoted.

โ€œIt has gone well so far and that is because everyone has been so good to me.

โ€œI had a hard time in Germany, but it has been so easy to settle here.

โ€œThe main thing is the gaffer because the way he has built the team spirit here is just amazing.

โ€œItโ€™s like if he asked you to run through a brick wall, even though you know itโ€™s impossible, you would still try.”
