Danns has scored seven times for Palace this season and, along with Victor Moses and Darren Ambrose, has been one of their best players.
With the club still in administration, the Evening Post understands that an emergency loan move for Danns could be struck ahead of Saturday's crunch clash against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The former Birmingham player joined Palace for £600k in 2007 and put in an impressive display at the Liberty Stadium earlier this season as the 10 man Swans held Neil Warnock's men.
The signing of Danns would be a huge boost for Paulo Sousa, who not only has doubts over the availabilty of star man Darren Pratley for the Forest game, but is definitely going to be without Ferrie Bodde, Joe Allen, Jordi Lopez and Andrea Orlandi – all out with respective injuries.
Pratley took a knock to his knee in the 1-0 win over Peterborough and was due to undergo a scan on Sunday.
The results have yet to be announced, however it is understood that the injury is not ligament damage, as first feared.
Fellow midfielder Bodde, also injured in the Posh game, was due for a scan today to discover the extent of the injury although the outlook doesn't look good after the Dutchman indicated that he felt a familiar pain in his knee.
