The Swansea City goalkeeper kept his 20th clean sheet of the campaign last night with a string of saves at Watford having now conceded just 23 goals in the 35 league games to date.

Take out the first two games – where the Swans conceded 5 – and the Dutchman has been beaten just 18 times in 33 games, a record that any goalkeeper would be proud of.

He told BBC Sport after the game at Vicarage Road "It was a sweet victory away from home, 1-0 and another clean sheet and a great team effort so a big hand for the guys

"They were giving us all sorts of balls inside the box and playing at a high pace, but we responded very well with a great goal from Kuqi.

"I was delighted with my saves, especially after the loss to Forest – you want to be there when your team needs you."
