The Swansea City striker believes that the Swans main ambition at the moment to ensure that they end the season in the top six.

Beattie will come face to face with his former team mates on Tuesday when West Brom arrive at the Liberty with victory for the Swans moving them closer to the side currently in 2nd place.

But Beattie told News of the Wrodl "There's no point talking about the top two because there's still a long way to go.

"We don't want to male a fool of oursleves by going on about automatic promotion and then it doesn't happen.

"After West Brom there are still nine games left – that's 27 points up for grabs.

"Our main focus at the moment is to consolidate our place in the top six.

"West Brom are a good side but I believe we are the best footballing side in the Championship."
