The Swansea City striker was responding to suggestions that morale must be suffering at the club after a seemingly unassailable lead has gone down to just two points after a run of two wins in nine games.
But Kuqi insists that is not the case and the belief was still there that the team could go on and secoure one of the four available end of season play off berths.
He told the Western Mail “No-one is panicking here
“We all know what’s needed and it’s in our hands.
“Yes there is pressure because we’re looking to get into the play-offs – but I love that.
“As a footballer you should want to be involved when the pressure is there on your shoulders.
“That is what you play for and it helps you get that buzz you need to be at your best.
“It’s a good thing for us to have and with everything still in our hands we can all be very positive.
“Of course Saturday was disappointing,” said the 33-year-old ex-Crystal Palace frontman.
“We didn’t take our chances and didn’t hold on when a even a draw could’ve been a big result because of Blackpool losing.
“But that’s gone now and it’s about us getting back on track very quickly.
“We’ve shown we can do that after big disappointments with the way we played against Scunthorpe after losing to Cardiff.
“So we know what we have to do and we know Saturday is the start of three big games for us.
“And we have to think that if we do well then it will be perfect for our belief going into the play-offs."
